How pages and credits are counted
Lido bills data extraction per page processed, not per document or per row.
The basics
- Each page of a document that Lido processes = 1 page credit. A 50-page PDF = 50 credits. A single check image = 1 credit.
- Page Range: if you set a page range (for example 1-10 of a 200-page file), only those pages are processed and billed.
- The page-exclusion directive (telling the AI to ignore certain pages in Extra Instructions) still requires reading every page, so excluded pages still count. Use Page Range to avoid billing for pages you do not need.
- Blank pages count if they are processed - use a page range to skip them.
- If a file starts processing, it processes fully and is billed even if you try to cancel mid-run.
The 24-hour free re-extraction window
You can re-extract the same document within 24 hours of upload at no additional page cost - for example after fixing column names or adjusting Extra Instructions. After 24 hours, or for a different/modified file, processing counts again.
Note: splitting files (the Split File workflow node) processes pages and uses credits.
Email extraction counting
- The email body counts as a page, and each attachment page counts individually.
- Replies and forwarded threads count again when they are re-processed - a common source of "my count went up faster than expected". Use the directives [at]attachments_only (skip the body) or [at]skip_attachments in Extra Instructions to control what is processed (see the Directives article).
Monthly vs annual allowances
- Monthly plans: the allowance resets each billing cycle. Unused pages do not roll over.
- Annual plans: the full yearly allowance is unlocked upfront and can be used at any pace during the year.
Where to check your usage
Settings -> Billing & Usage shows your allowance and usage. Detailed usage and active-workflow counts are visible to workspace admins. API users can query usage programmatically (see the Lido API articles).
Need more pages?
- There are no per-page top-ups or overage billing.
- Pro-rated upgrades: upgrade to the next tier in Billing and pay only the difference, effective immediately.
- For a one-off batch, an additional plan can be purchased under a second account, and sheets can be shared between accounts.
- Expecting more than ~1,000 pages per month? Email justin@trylido.com for a volume quote or book time: https://calendly.com/d/cwn6-4hw-y4n/chat-with-justin
If your page count looks wrong (for example it jumped more than the pages you uploaded), check whether the uploaded file had more pages than expected (re-downloaded exports often do), then contact support in chat with a screenshot.
